Your role

You will be the main health advisor to councillors, borough officials and the Lambeth Clinical Commissioning Group, encouraging evidence-based commissioning and reporting on the effects of health programmes. Ultimately, you will prioritise protecting the people of Lambeth from serious health threats, helping them to live longer and healthier lives and improving the health of the most vulnerable, fastest.

Leading a specialist team, you will ensure the improvement and protection of health and health services, including the inter-agency delivery of key services by promoting continuous learning. You will understand the link between economic success and good health and will develop long-term, cross-department strategies to improve health, in line with delivering national, regional and local policies. This will include identifying and responding effectively to demographic change such as an aging population.
