The City of London and Hackney Council is looking to recruit a part-time Consultant in Public Health (0.8 wte.).

We are looking for a dynamic Consultant with a passion to improve the health of our two very different populations in the City of London and Hackney.

This is an exciting time to work within two very different areas and populations: – residents in the City of London and Hackney and the working population in the City.

You will work closely with colleagues across the City of London Corporation and Hackney Council to maximise public health outcomes and will have experience of working with a wide range of partners and organisations including local authorities, voluntary sector, NHS organisations, academic institutions and the media.

The Consultant will be an employee of the City of London Corporation but is expected to work in the City of London 0.5wte and London Borough of Hackney 0.3wte.

If you would like further information or an informal discussion about these opportunities, please contact Dr Penny Bevan, Director of Public Health on email: Penny.Bevan@hackney.gov.uk

Interview date: Thursday 11 February 2016.

The City of London Corporation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Ths post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as part of the selection process, the successful applicant will be required to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

The City of London is committed to equal opportunities and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
