Salary Agenda for Change 8D – £66,582 – £82,434 or Medical Consultant’s Contract

This is a joint post funded by North Manchester Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Manchester City Council.  Employment will be via the CCG, the post holder will work across Manchester but with a significant proportion of their time focused on the north of the City.  This is a full-time consultant post for an initial period up to 30 September 2018.

Working across a range of service areas and in partnership with other stakeholders and service providers, the post holder will help deliver the Council’s public health functions and the priorities contained in the Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy, the Manchester Locality Plan and North Manchester CCG’s Strategic and Operational Plan. The post holder will also assess intelligence and evidence to inform the commissioning of new or re-designed provision which supports and delivers the CCG’s and Council’s strategic vision and commissioning intentions.

The post holder will provide public health technical/specialist leadership and guidance to senior CCG managers and the Council and will be expected to support stakeholders in taking a public health approach to developing and commissioning health and wellbeing and social care services.
