Public Health England has estimated that one tenth of 50 year old men in England actually have a heart age 10 years older than their actual age, putting them at increased risk of heart attacks and strokes. To increase awareness PHE is asking adults to spend as little as 3 minutes on this web-based heart age assessment operated by the British Heart Foundation: https://www.bhf.org.uk/heart-health/risk-factors/check-your-heart-age

The test will give people an estimate of their heart age based on their response to lifestyle and demographic questions although to be accurate participants need to know details of their blood pressure and cholesterol readings. This suggests that those able to accurately take the test are probably already engaged with health services
