Stephen Palmer is Founder Director of the Centre for Stress Management, established in 1987.  Stephen’s other current roles include being Professor of Practice at the Wales Academy for Professional Practice and Applied Research, University of Wales Trinity Saint David and Adjunct Professor at Aalborg University, Denmark.

Stephen is a former President of the Institute for Health Promotion and Education (IHPE) and currently an HonoraryVice President.  In 2001 he was awarded Fellowship of the IHPE for his ‘Outstanding contribution to the theory and practice of health promotion and education.’   More recently he became an Honorary Fellow.  Stephen has been Deputy Editor, Editor and now Consulting Editor of the International Journal of Health Promotion and Education, published by the IHPE.  He has written/edited over 50 books and 225 articles.  His particular specialism has been in the field of stress management and prevention.  He is a Chartered Biologist and HCPC Registered Health Psychologist.
