Patricia is Director of Undergraduate Programmes in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Keele University and has responsibility for all pre-registration nursing programmes. Her clinical background was in elderly care and health visiting, but for the past 20 odd years she has been a teacher and facilitator of students’ learning about health and health promotion, in both the East and West Midlands. This has entailed developing curricula and facilitating learning at BSc, Master’s and doctoral level in nursing, public health and mental health.
She has been involved in a range of initiatives in the past including membership of local Healthy City Partnerships, Family Nurse Partnership and as a past member of a Public Health Network. She has also been a member of the Royal College of Nursing’s (RCN) National Steering Committee for the Public Health and Health Visiting Forum.
